“Lie not to one another, having put off the old man with his practices, and having put on the new, which is renewed in regard to knowledge, after the image of Him who did create him.” Col. 3:9-10
Following conversion, a Christian navigates the world through the lens of scripture which unveils the true nature of reality. His mind is renewed, illuminating both the lies that had bound him to the world and the grace which liberated him from it. Wave upon wave of truth drives the Christian into deeper faithfulness to God who has purchased his life at the price of the life of Jesus, God’s only begotten Son. The sins associated with the old man are replaced with the character traits associated with the new man — blamelessness, holiness and righteousness.
